Owner Matt Eisenbacher Catches Giant on Eiron Breaker Jig! Mar 11, 2008 - Matt Eisenbacher, owner of Eiron Breaker Lure Company, hooked a 6.40 lb hawg to collect Pro Division Big Bass honors at the Heartland Pro-Am event at Lake of the Ozarks on March 9th. The fish bit a 3/8 oz brown/purple Eiron Breaker jig in 6 feet of water at 8:05 am. Matt was fishing the end of a rock transition near a channel swing when the pig thumped his jig tipped with a black/blue flaked Zoom Super Chunk Jr. "I knew it was a good fish but I thought it was a drum until she came up near the boat. My heart raced for 30 minutes after she went into the livewell!" Matt was using a 6'10" finesse jig Hammer Rod to subdue the toad. That fish anchored his 6th Place bag to take home $1350 and a guaranteed slot in the Heartland Pro-Am Championship. It pays to Fish With A Hammer! |
